CAMBRA

For payment providers

Merchants are comparing you right now.
Be the answer.

CAMBRA audits payment costs for independent businesses. We cite public pricing or show a PSP's written indicative terms for an eligible merchant; we never imply that a rate is already signed or generally available.

Two ways to work with us

Listed, or Partner.

Two opt-in routes: public pricing for the benchmark, or indicative partner terms for qualified merchants. Neither involves a PSP commission, referral fee, revenue share or other compensation to CAMBRA.

Tier 1

Listed

Public pricing → enters our benchmark.

If your card-payment pricing is public and citable, you belong in our achievable benchmark. Every audit CAMBRA runs compares the merchant's current effective rate against the best publicly contractable rate for their region and ticket size — and the winner surfaces by name.

What you bring

  • Public pricing page

A live URL we can quote verbatim (percent + fixed fee + any monthly rental). No unlisted deals, no ‘call for quote'.

  • Card-payment coverage

Online PSP, in-store TPV, or both. Any region we cover (EU, UK, US, RoW).

  • Point of contact

A single email we can reach to notify you of pricing changes we detect on our side.

What CAMBRA delivers

  • Visibility to comparing merchants

When a merchant of your ICP runs the audit, our engine evaluates your rate at their real ticket size. If you win, your name appears in their result as the achievable anchor.

  • Audit trail on every citation

Every time we anchor to you, the source URL and verbatim quote we're using is one click away. No misquoting, no stale pricing.

Commercial

No fee. No exclusivity. No commitment.

Tier 2

Partner

One preferred indicative rate or a cohort/tier matrix.

A PSP may submit one preferred rate or a cohort/tier matrix. All terms are indicative, subject to the PSP's underwriting and merchant eligibility, and shown only after written PSP approval.

What you bring

  • Preferred rate or cohort/tier matrix

Define it by country, channel, sector, processing volume, average ticket and payment mix, with the applicable underwriting and eligibility criteria.

  • Direct PSP–merchant contract

The PSP quotes, contracts with and invoices the merchant directly. CAMBRA is not a party to that contract and receives no compensation from the PSP.

  • Official partner contact

A named contact or a monitored official partner inbox can receive handovers; a named individual is not required.

What CAMBRA delivers

  • Qualified acquisition channel

Before revealing the merchant's identity, CAMBRA obtains merchant-specific consent, sends an anonymised summary with an Opportunity ID and receives the PSP's written acknowledgement.

  • 18-month opportunity protection

Where a signed agreement provides it, protection covers the Opportunity ID for 18 months, including PSP affiliates and indirect routes. It creates no commission or other PSP payment to CAMBRA.

Commercial

The PSP pays CAMBRA no commission, referral fee, revenue share or other compensation.

Separately, CAMBRA negotiates better payment terms for the merchant and charges the merchant 25% of actual positive savings verified during the first 24 months. No positive verified savings, no fee.

Where we won't compromise

Three rules, non-negotiable.

Rule 1

The benchmark stays public.

Public benchmark rates remain source-linked. Partner terms stay separate, indicative and conditional; they are never presented as public or generally available pricing.

Rule 2

Recommendations follow the merchant's interest.

Recommendations follow the merchant's interest. No provider can buy placement or influence a recommendation.

Rule 3

Any interested provider gets the same door.

No merchant identity is disclosed before specific consent and written PSP acknowledgement. No preferred rate is described as signed or available without written approval.
